KPU Calls Sirekap Had Alami DOS Disturbance, February 14, 2024

The General Elections Commission (KPU) revealed that the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) had experienced technical problems on voting day for the 2024 General Election, Wednesday, February 14.

This was conveyed by KPU Commissioner Betty Epsilon Idroos in a press statement at the KPU office, Jakarta, Monday.

"Disruptions to the Sirekap system occur starting February 14, 2024, where the number is increasing, and one of which is disruption in DOS, distributed denial of service," he said.

Betty ensured that the KPU together with the cyber task force continued to try to handle the disturbance. In fact, these handling efforts continue to be carried out until now.

He explained that the process of uploading the C form results carried out by the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) amounted to 1.6 million people, requiring extraordinary managerial.

"In conjunction with public activities, from within and outside the country who want to see the election results data," said Betty.

In this regard, Betty said, access distribution of the 2024.kpu.go.id election publication portal is needed, which is located in all parts of the world. It aims to accelerate public access to the portal.

"All Sirekap data, processed and stored, in a data center located in Indonesia, is in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," said Betty.
