Alluding To Election Cheating, Former Chief Justice Of The Constitutional Court: Don't Be Silent, Report To Political Parties Or Paslon
JAKARTA - Former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Jimly Asshiddiqie asked the public and those who knew about the alleged fraud in the 2024 election contestation not to remain silent.
According to him, the public, including witnesses or organizers of the 2024 General Election, both in the presidential and vice presidential candidates and the election of legislative candidates, found evidence of violations in reporting it to related parties.
"Falctions and election violations should not be allowed," Jimly said in his X account, Monday, February 19 afternoon.
He said witnesses ranging from representatives of presidential and vice presidential candidates, legislative candidates, political parties, and Bawaslu at polling stations (TPU) could start by not signing voting documents if they found evidence of fraud.
"If this happens, the witnesses, the counting and recap of the voice, don't be silent, don't sign the document and report it to the superior (parpol or candidate pair) and to Panwaslu," he said.
Jimly said evidence of fraud in the election process could be brought to the authorities to process reports of violations.
"Prepare evidence of litigants in Bawaslu, in the PTTUN or the election crime in the District Court and finally in the Constitutional Court," he said.
As for the law, if fraud during the presidential and legislative elections in the 2024 General Election is true, it is possible for the authorities to disqualify the winners and declare the losers to be winners.
