Barito Putera Moves Kandang To Bantul During The Demang Lehman Renovation Stadium

JAKARTA - A tough decision was made by Barito Putera ahead of the 25th week of Liga 1 2023/2024. The Laskar Antasari squad was forced to become a team for tourists because they had to move home to Bantul.

Barito must be temporarily based at the Sultan Agung Stadium because the Demang Lehman Stadium, which is their home, is being renovated.

Barito Putera CEO, Hasnuryadi Sulaiman, said that the election of the Sultan Agung Stadium in Bantul was the final decision of the results of discussions conducted by players and management.

Hasnuryadi revealed that his party had tried to find a temporary home base in the South Kalimantan area. However, there are no stadiums that meet the standards to be able to hold the remainder of the match in the second round of the league.

"We ask for support and blessing from the people of South Kalimantan, especially football lovers Barito Putera, to use the Sultan Agung Stadium as a temporary home base during the 17 May Stadium and the Demang Lehman Martapura Stadium to be renovated," said Hasnuryadi as quoted from the PT LIB website on Monday, February 19, 2024.

"We have even searched the Kalimantan area, including in Central Kalimantan. Currently, the Sultan Agung Stadium in Bantul is the best choice," he said.

Even though they had to change base, Hasnuryadi hoped that Barito Putera would still be able to maintain his positive trend. So far they have a record of pretty good home matches.

In 11 home games that have been played, Laskar Antasari only lost once and the rest won seven wins and three draws.

"In the remaining 10 matches this season, we also hope to give our best. Hopefully we can be proud and make the name of our beloved South Kalimantan Banua," said Hasnuryadi.

The 25th week match was not easy for Barito Putera. The reason is, they will face a strong opponent, namely Persib Bandung. The match will be held with the status of home on Friday, February 23, 2024.
