Increasing Now There Are 25 Hotspots Found By BMKG In East Kalimantan, Here Are The Location Details
BALIKPAPAN - The Balikpapan Station Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) found 25 hotspots spread across East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim), so all parties were invited to always be vigilant and take care of each other.
"A total of 25 hotspots were monitored throughout Friday (16/2) from 01.00 to 24.00 WITA," said Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan BMKG Balikpapan, Diyan Novrida, in Balikpapan, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, February 17.
Information on the distribution of hotspots has also been conveyed to related parties, including the Manggala Agni and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) at the provincial and district/city levels, so that further action can be taken.
This number of hotspots has increased compared to the previous day, Thursday (15/2) which detected 13 points and spread over three districts, namely Paser Regency one point, East Kutai eight points, and, Kutai Kartanegara Regency four points.
Given the increasing number of hotspots, he appealed to all parties to always be vigilant and prevent forest and land fires (karhutla) from occurring, such as not burning in the forest or land.
Vigilance needs to continue because a number of areas are still experiencing hot weather in a few consecutive days, so this can cause branches and dried leaves that are prone to forest and land fires when exposed to fire or small coal.
He continued, as many as 25 hotspots detected yesterday were spread over six districts/cities, namely Samarinda one point, Paser one point, one point, West Kutai two points, East Kutai 14 points, and Kutai Kartanegara six points.
The details are that in Samarinda City one point was detected, in Sambutan District, for Paser Regency in Batu Engau District, for North Penajam Paser Regency in Penajam District, all of which have a middle level of trust.
Then two points in West Kutai Regency, both in Jempang District, six points in Kutai Kartanegara spread over four sub-districts, namely Kembang Janggut two points, Loa Janan two points, Marangkayu one point, and Samboja District one point, all of which have a middle level of trust.
"Meanwhile, 14 points in East Kutai Regency are spread over five sub-districts, namely Sangatta Utara two points, Bengalon eight points, Busang one point, Kaubun one point, Kongbeng one point, and Muara Ancalong one point, all of which have a middle level of trust," concluded Diyan.
