US And Arab Countries Arrange Plans For The Establishment Of Palestinian Countries

JAKARTA - The United States and several Arab countries are actively involved in drafting plans for the establishment of the Palestinian state, according to US media reports.

According to a number of US and Arab officials to The Washington Post, there is an urgency to complete the plan for the creation of long-term peace between Israel and Palestine.

Various efforts are underway to determine the timeframe for the establishment of a Palestinian state, and its announcement is likely to take place in the coming weeks, according to the Post.

Reported by ANTARA, Friday, February 16, the US media report claimed a ceasefire and negotiations on the release of hostages between Israel and Hamas were also included in the plan.

It was also stated that the initial six-week ceasefire was expected to facilitate the announcement of this plan, garner support, and start the preliminary measures.

According to the Washington Post, US officials have signaled the possibility of recognizing the Palestinian state and stressed the recognition could signal a new approach to peace efforts in the region.
