Airlangga Denies The Government Does Not Involve The Minister Of Social Affairs In The Distribution Of Social Assistance
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto denied reports that Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini was not involved in planning social assistance (bansos) and even emphasized the discussion of the social assistance budget involving the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos).
Airlangga explained that the budget for the social assistance program distributed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was included in the Ministry of Social's budget. Therefore, the Minister of Social Affairs is said to have been involved in the discussion.
"The budget is from the Ministry of Social Affairs. Yes, if the budget is from the Ministry of Social Affairs, it must be involved," he said after voting at TPS 05 Melawai, Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
According to Airlangga, if the Ministry of Social Affairs' budget is involved, of course, Risma is also involved in distributing social assistance to the community.
"Yes, if the budget is involved, it will definitely be involved (distribution). The postal budget is there," he said.
