Ganjar Responds Positively To The Naik Bawaslu Performance Allowance: Not Bribery, Pancingan But Attention

Presidential Candidate number three, Ganjar Pranowo does not want to talk much about the performance allowance for the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) employees signed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). He said he considered this policy as a form of positive attention.

"It's not a temptation, it's not a bribe, it's not a lure to be withdrawn, pushed to take sides but it's a concern to the staff or apparatus there to work more professionally," Ganjar told reporters in Semarang, Wednesday, February 14.

Ganjar hopes that in the future everyone can think rationally about the increase in the allowance. "I just read it positively," said the former Governor of Central Java.

As previously reported, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) issued Presidential Regulation (Perpres) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 18 of 2024 concerning Employee Performance Allowances within the Secretariat General of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).

In the copy sheet of the Presidential Decree which was reported from the jdih.setneg.go.id page, the nominal amount of the performance allowance paid per month was divided into 17 levels of office class, starting from Rp1,968,000 for the 1st to Rp29,085,000 office classes. 17.

"The performance allowance for employees within the Secretariat General of the General Election Supervisory Body as referred to in Article 3 is given starting from the time this Presidential Regulation applies," reads Article 4 of Presidential Decree Number 18 of 2024. The regulation was stipulated in Jakarta and signed by President Jokowi on Monday 12 February.
