Bawaslu Calls SBY's Ad Board "Do You Remember Me?" Not Campaign

JAKARTA - Member of the General Election Supervisory Agency Lolly Suhenty said the adboard for the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and Chairman of the Democratic Party's Upper House read "Still Remember Me?" which was installed during a calm period, not including a campaign.

"As soon as Mr. SBYmaka's billboard in our ranks then discussed how to because if the campaign element is not fulfilled, because there is no vision and mission, there is no self-image, nothing, it's just writing words and photos, right? There is no party number? So from the perspective of the campaign definition, he (SBY's advertising board) is not fulfilled, "Lolly told reporters as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 13.

Despite the pandemic, as a form of prevention, the General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) has asked the authorities to lower the advertising board.

"But Bawaslu is given a mandate to prevent various potential violations. Therefore, we then ask that the billboard be lowered, yes, because this is in the process. Because it is not allowed, everyone should take care (of calm). In this context, the appeal issued by Bawaslu is to be immediately lowered," he said.
