The Ministry Of Health Will Ask The Police To Take Action If Someone Sells Covid-19 Vaccine Rations
JAKARTA - Spokesperson for COVID-19 vaccination from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) Siti Nadia Tarmizi emphasized that no individual should sell and buy COVID-19 vaccination rations for personal or certain group interests.
Nadia said that all people who are over 18 years of age and pass the required health conditions will get the vaccine.
However, currently vaccination is still intended for priority groups. Meanwhile, the general public will get the vaccine afterward. If it is proven that someone is abusing it, the Ministry of Health will immediately hand it over to the police.
"Later, if there is something related to fraud, it will become the domain of the legal apparatus," said Nadia when contacted by VOI, Thursday, February 25.
According to Nadia, the government has technical instructions for the implementation of vaccination in the context of tackling the COVID-19 pandemic. This is stated in the Decree of the Director General of Disease Prevention and Control Number HK.02.02 / 4/1/2021.
"We already have the technical instructions, so we just need to implement it in the field. If it is appropriate, we will do the vaccination, especially if there is data on PHI Care," explained Nadia.
Meanwhile, the KPK previously emphasized that it did not hesitate to take firm action against those caught using the COVID-19 vaccine for personal or group interests.
"If there are people who try to take advantage of the situation for their personal or group interests and benefits, the KPK with the authority of prosecution will certainly process it in the corridor of law enforcement," said Acting KPK spokesman for Prevention Ipi Maryati when contacted by VOI.
In addition, he emphasized that the KPK continues to oversee the procurement, distribution and distribution processes for the COVID-19 vaccine. This is done as an effort to prevent corruption in a pandemic like today.
"This condition is also a challenge for the government to ensure that each process (vaccination, ed) is carried out in a transparent and accountable manner," he said.
