Jokowi Raises Bawaslu Allowance Ahead Of Voting, AMIN National Team: Authority Politicization!
JAKARTA - The National Team for Winning Anies-Muhaimin (Timnas AMIN) responded to President Joko Widodo's decision to increase the nominal allowance for employees of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) two days before voting for the 2024 General Election.AMIN National Team Spokesman Billy David Neututumelina suspects Jokowi is using politicization of his authority for his personal interests. This is because the momentum for increasing this allowance is very close to the D-Day of the vote."Of course we should suspect this is the politicization of the authority to welcome tomorrow's election. Everything seems forced if we look at the timeframe," Billy said in a short message, Tuesday, February 13.However, Billy submitted Jokowi's assessment of the attitude during the 2024 General Election to their respective communities."Let the Indonesian people and the rational voters judge this," said Billy.For information, President Jokowi issued Presidential Regulation (Perpres) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 18 of 2024 concerning Employee Performance Allowances within the Secretariat General (Setjen) of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).In the copy sheet of the Perpres which was reported from the jdih.setneg.go.id page, the nominal amount of the performance allowance paid per month was divided into 17 levels of office class, ranging from Rp1,968,000 for the class of positions 1 to Rp29,085,000 for the class of positions 17."The performance allowance for employees within the Secretariat General of the General Election Supervisory Body, as referred to in Article 3, is given starting from the time this presidential regulation applies," said the excerpt of Article 4 of Presidential Decree Number 18 of 2024.The regulation was stipulated in Jakarta and signed by President Jokowi on Monday, February 12. The Presidential Regulation can be downloaded at the following link.This provision also revokes Presidential Decree Number 122 of 2O17 concerning Employee Performance Allowances within the Secretariat General of the General Election Supervisory Body, which previously took effect as of December 15, 2017.In the old Presidential Decree, the value of the performance allowance is lower than the latest Presidential Decree, which is the nominal amount starting from Rp. 1,766,000 for the class of positions 1 to Rp. 24,930,000.
"When this presidential regulation comes into effect, Presidential Regulation Number 122 of 2017 concerning Employee Performance Allowances within the Secretariat General of the General Elections Supervisory Agency (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia of 2017 Number 266), is revoked and declared invalid," said Article 13 in the latest Presidential Decree.
