Failed At Arsenal, Marquinhos Joins Fluminense

Fluminense confirmed Marquinhos' loan from Arsenal. The winger has signed a contract with the Brazilian club and is just finalizing the official documents for the finalization of the deal.

Fluminense not only prepares documents for borrowing, but there is also an option to buy Marquinhos.

Fluminense manager Fernando Diniz has confirmed that the signing is just one step ahead of closing Brazil's transfer window at the end of February 2024.

"Marquinhos may be back. Fluminense signed a contract very well on this window."

"I'm very happy with who we signed at the start of the year."

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also said the same thing about Marquinhos' departure from the Gunners.

"Fluminense is preparing official documents to finalize Marquinho's deal with Arsenal."

"The loan was approved and confirmed by Manager Diniz, it's just a matter of time," Romano said in a tweet on the X account.

Marquinhos failed at the Emirates. He has only played six times and scored one goal since signing in June 2022.

The 20-year-old joined the North London club on a five-year contract and a value of about 3 million pounds from Sao Paulo.

Marquinhos was then loaned out to Championship club Norwich City. He also failed there by only playing 11 times and scoring one goal last season.

After returning to Arsenal in the summer, Mikel Arteta sent him back on loan. This time to the Ligue 1 team, Nantes.

However, Marquinhos again failed to compete. The 20-year-old has only appeared five times in France.
