Rivian R1T And R1S Get New Battery Option Options, Cheaper Prices

JAKARTA - California-based electric vehicle company Rivian introduced two new battery options for R1T and R1S SUVs, which have cheaper prices and are referred to as Standard and Standard+.

Quoting from the Arenaev page, Saturday, February 10, the standard trim (entry level) is equipped with a battery of 106 kWh. With this battery option, you can cover a distance of 435 km with a full charge.

This battery option is only available with a dual motorcycle powertrain of 533 hp and an acceleration time of up to 100 km/hour is only 4.3 seconds.

In addition, the Standard+ trim is equipped with a 121 kWh battery capable of producing a range of 507 km with a power of 533 hp, with an acceleration time that does not change with other trims.

The presence of a new battery option expands the R1T and R1S ranks to 4 different versions, along with the existing Big trim and 135 kWh capacity, as well as the Max option with 149 kWh battery.

The Standard version is priced at 69,900 US dollars or around Rp1 billion, while the Standard+ version touched US$73,000 or Rp1.13 billion. As additional information, the highest version of this car is US$83,000 (Rp1.29 billion).

In addition to presenting a new trim, next month will be a new chapter in Rivian's brief history. The company will introduce its small SUV to the North American market at a much lower entrance price, namely R2 which is priced in the range of 40,000 US dollars (Rp 624 million).

But the model is just the first vehicle to be made with a new platform, and there will be more models to be presented in the future.
