ABK Asal Tegal Depressed To Shout At The Port Of Cape Town, South Africa

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Consulate General in Cape Town acted quickly to accompany the crew of the ship (ABK) from Tegal who experienced depression, hallucinations, and screaming at Cape Town Port, South Africa, while applying for a return sailing permit (sign on) with the crew of the Fukuseki Maru 1 ship.

According to the Indonesian Consulate General inCapeTown, the assistance was given by the Indonesian Consulate General after receiving an urgent call from the head of port immigration, Muneefah Abrahams.

Abrahams said that an Indonesian citizen crew with the initials MK spoke for themselves about religion, state, elections, fathers, mothers, and ancestors of their descendants.

The Constitutional Court also shouted that his body was sick, causing panic among port immigration officers. As a result, he did not get permission to sail and was returned to the ship for further action.

Immediately after receiving a call from the port immigration authority, the Indonesian Consulate General in Cape Town immediately acted quickly to accompany the Constitutional Court, and took him to a mental health clinic at Akeso Milnerton Clinic Milpark Center Cape Town to get a psychiatrist's examination.

In order to ease his mental burden, the Indonesian Consulate General in Cape Town also facilitated video calls between the Constitutional Court and his family in Indonesia.

Through the 30-minute video call, the family hopes for the support of the Indonesian Consulate General in Cape Town to facilitate the return of the Constitutional Court to Indonesia.

The Indonesian Consulate General inCapeTown said the depressed condition of the Constitutional Court was allegedly triggered by sad news about his mother who died moments before he returned to work on the Japanese-flagged ship.

However, based on the visit of the Consul for Protocol and Consular Affairs of the Indonesian Consulate General in Cape Town, Faiez Maulana and his staff on Thursday (8/2), the condition of the Constitutional Court seems to be improving.

Although the Indonesian Consulate General in Cape Town has provided moral assistance and brought the typical Indonesian items he wants, the Constitutional Court has stated that it wants to immediately return to the country so that they can reunite with their families.

The Indonesian Consulate General in Cape Town coordinates with all relevant parties, both agents in Cape Town and in Indonesia and ship owners in Japan, to ensure that the Constitutional Court gets the best handling, including regarding his return to his hometown without violating his work contract.
