Cianjur Police Hunt For Perpetrators Of Fire Armed Robbery

CIANJUR - The Cianjur Resort Police, West Java, is hunting for the perpetrators of the robbery armed with firearms who carried out their actions in Darmaga Village, Neglasari Village, Bojongpicung District.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bojongpicung Police, Iptu Dadang Arifin, said that his party had conducted a crime scene (TKP) investigation, where four perpetrators were suspected of entering the house through an unlocked window, and stealing jewelry worth Rp. 17 million.

"We have conducted a crime scene investigation and it is known that four perpetrators entered the house through an unlocked window, one of whom had pointed a firearm, but it is still under investigation," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 7.

After successfully stealing Rp17 million in jewelry, the perpetrator detained the victim in one room under the threat of firearms and sharp weapons before fleeing.

"Currently we have deployed members to hunt down the perpetrators," he said.

Information gathered about the robbery that happened to the wife of the RT head in Derm Village, Neglasari Village, Fitria Rahmat (46) began after receiving a female guest whose identity was not known to have asked about her husband and other family members.

After the female guest left, the victim Fitri returned home and found a man with a face covering pointing a firearm in from the back room. Seeing this the victim had avoided and fled.

However, the action was stopped by other perpetrators who were already behind and immediately strangled the victim's neck, then under the threat the victim was tied to the legs and hands and mouth covered by four perpetrators.

"The perpetrator combed every room and took all the jewelry stored in the wardrobe, after getting what they were looking for, the perpetrator fled through the back door," said victim Krisna's child (21).

The victim was successfully released after his sister came home to pray and found the victim with her hands and feet tied in the room, then the family reported the matter to the police.
