TNI KRI Hospital Ship Dr. Radjiman Brings Aid To Palestinian Gazans Almost Crossing The Red Sea

JAKARTA - The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL) Admiral Muhammad Ali conveyed the KRI dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat-992 who transport aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza is about to enter the Red Sea.

"Currently, KRI Radjiman has passed Aden Bay, entered Aden Bay to the Red Sea. We pray that we are safe to reach our destination and can carry out its humanitarian duties. On his voyage to El Arish, Egypt, KRI Radjiman had a chance to meet KRI Frans Kaisiepo-368 who was about to go to Indonesia at that time.

KRI Radjiman, who is an aid ship for the Indonesian Navy Hospital, sailed from Jakarta on January 18, 2024. Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto at that time led the departure ceremony of KRI Radjiman at Kolinlamil Pier, Tanjung Priok, Jakarta.

KRI Radjiman transports aid as many as 80 trucks currently in KRI dr. Radjiman, consisting of pampers (532 sacks), children's clothing (600 sacks), adult clothing (700 sacks and 500 boxes), milk (800 boxes), biscuits (650 boxes), gallon mineral water (1,254 gallons), cardboard mineral water (1,700 boxes), medicines (460 boxes), blankets (450 sacks), jackets (450 sacks), and instant noodles (470 boxes). The amount if grouped according to the container, there are 4,080 boxes, 2,732 sacks, 500 boxes, and 1,254 gallons.

The ship carried 214 crews, 40 of whom were special forces from the Indonesian Navy.

The delivery of aid to Egypt is also the first mission of KRI dr. Radjiman crossed the ocean and left Indonesian waters.
