Ganjar Quoted Jokowi About Criteria For Choosing A President: Don't Have A Record Of Traces Of Human Rights Violations
Presidential Candidate (Capres) number three Ganjar Pranowo quoted President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as saying about not choosing a leader who had a black track record in the past.
This was conveyed by Ganjar when giving a closing statement in the debate of the five presidential candidates at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, Central Jakarta, Sunday, February 4.
It started when Ganjar said he participated in the campaign when Jokowi fought Prabowo Subianto in the 2019 presidential election contestation. At that moment, he recalled Jokowi's statement regarding the criteria for prospective Indonesian leaders.
"We are reminded not to choose candidates who have dictatorial and authoritarian pieces, have a track record of human rights violations, who have a track record of violence, who have a track record of corruption problems," said Ganjar.
According to him, the criteria conveyed by Jokowi at that time were considered relevant. So, until now it is still held by a gun.
"I strongly agree with what he said so that this criterion becomes our guide to choose a leader," he said.
