GWM Reportedly Working On A Long Luxury Sedan, This Is What It Looks Like

JAKARTA - Car manufacturer from China, Great Wall Motor (GWM) is reportedly working on a 5.5-meter luxury sedan for a new brand codenamed ZX.

Quoting Carnewschina, Monday, February 5, this long sedan is rumored to come with the NEV powertrain and can compete with Hongqi, Bentley, and Rolls-Royce models.

The Chinese brand has actually produced the Volex C50 Sedan model since 1990, then the facelift version launched 2012. But production was stopped in 2016 due to low demand.

Meanwhile, in 2020, GWM introduced a four-door concept car called Futurist on the Beijing Auto Show. Plus, in 2022 the latest GWM Sedan photos were leaked but there was no further news, now the manufacturer seems to be trying to revive the sedan segment by working on luxury products.

More details, based on reports from Autohome, the GWM Sedan will have a high hood line with a flat front bumper, while coming with eight-stop rims, and a camera instead of a rearview mirror.

There are no more details about this luxury sedan, it is hoped that further information will be disclosed this year. But it is possible that this Sedan will be forgotten again as it was in 2022.

As additional information at the moment, Great Wall Motor sells cars with five brands, GWM Pickup, Haval, Tank, Wey, and Ora. Previously, this company launched another brand called SAR. But that was stopped, and the only model, Mecha Dragon, will be part of the brand Ora.

Will GWM really enliven the luxury sedan segment? Of course it's worth waiting for.
