Prabowo - Gibran Allegedly Deployed Village Head In Temanggung, National Team AMIN Reminds Sanctions For One Year In Prison

JAKARTA - The Anies Muhaimin National Winning Team (Timnas AMIN) received a report on February 3 that the Village Head in Temanggung, Central Java was to win Prabowo-Gibran.

The victory of the Prabowo-Gibran candidate pair was held at the Coordination Meeting of the Head of Temanggung Regency, Central Java.

"In connection with the Massive deployment of the Village Head to win the candidate pair 02 Prabowo-Gibran, we from the Nas AMIN team asked Bawaslu to take action," said AMIN National Team Spokesperson Iwan Tarigan in a statement received on Sunday, February 4.

The spokesman for the AMIN national team also emphasized that the deployment of the Village Head was a violation of the Election Law.

"The sanction is stated in Article 490, which is sentenced to a maximum imprisonment of one year and a maximum fine of Rp. 12 million," explained Iwan.

Iwan also explained, in Article 280 paragraph (2), it was stated that village officials were included in parties prohibited from being included by the implementers and or campaign teams in election campaign activities.

Apart from not being included in the campaign, village officials, as explained in paragraph (3) are also prohibited from being the executor and election campaign team.

Article 494 explains that every state civil servant, member of the TNI and Polri, village head, village apparatus, and / or member of the village deliberative body who violates the prohibition as referred to in Article 280 paragraph (3), shall be punished with a maximum imprisonment of one year and a maximum fine of IDR 12 million.

Furthermore, Article 282 contains rules regarding the prohibition of state officials, structural officials, and functional officials in public positions, as well as village heads making decisions and or taking actions that benefit or harm one of the election participants during the campaign period.
