KPK Will Summon Sidoarjo Regent In The BPPD ASN Incentive Cut Case Today
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) plans to summon Sidoarjo Regent Ahmad Muhdlor Ali today, Friday, February 2.
He will be examined as a witness regarding the alleged deduction and receipt of money from the Sidoarjo Regency Regional Tax Service Agency (BPPD).
Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said Ahmad Muhdlor was summoned along with the Head of BPPD Sidoarjo Regency Ari Suryono.
Both of them will be asked to provide information regarding allegations of corruption starting from a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Friday, January 26.
"Located at the KPK's Red and White Building, the investigative team has scheduled summons and examinations of witnesses," Ali told reporters quoted on Friday, February.
It has not been detailed about the examination material. However, the names of Ahmad and Ari are suspected of being involved in this case.

The anti-corruption commission said the amount of budget cut was around 10-30 percent of the incentives obtained by ASN. Specifically in 2023, the amount of money collected reached IDR 2.7 billion.

As for the investigation of the case, investigators have conducted searches in a number of places such as the regent's official residence and the BPPD office as well as the homes of related parties.
From the forced effort, a number of documents were found related to cutting tax incentives, electronic evidence, money with foreign denominations, and three cars.
