JAKARTA - The head coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong, expressed optimism about the opportunity to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 2026 World Cup.
He said this was not impossible for the Garuda Squad to achieve. The composition of players is one of the beliefs of the South Korean coach.
"In my opinion, it is not impossible. This team member is a member of the Olympic team," said Shin Tae-yong.
"There are three home games left in the second round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. The schedule is not too bad, so it's worth a try," he said at Sport Khan on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
After successfully bringing the team through to the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup, the busy schedule is already waiting for Shin Tae-yong.
Moreover, he will handle two teams at once, namely the U-23 Indonesian national team and seniors from March to June 2024.
