Thailand Masters 2024: Indonesian Representatives Start To Fall In The First Round
JAKARTA - Not all Indonesian representatives can get through the first round which was held at Nimibutr Stadium, Bangkok, on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
Five representatives had to fall in the first half following the men's singles Tommy Sugiarto and the women's doubles Meilysa Trias Puspitasari/Rachel Alllessya Rose who had picked up the suitcase on the first day, January 30, 2024.
The men's singles number, Indonesia has no hope of following Alwi Farhan's defeat against the Dutch singles, Mark Caljou. Alwi lost two straight sets with a score of 15-21 and 14-21
Women's singles can still hope that Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo, who stepped into the last 16 after overthrowing the Chinese badminton player Taipei, Liang Ting Yu.
He won through a fierce rubber game battle with a score of 21-16, 16-21, and 21-12.
While one other women's singles, Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi, immediately died in the first round. He lost against China Taipei's singles, Pai Yu Po two straight sets with a score of 12-21 and 17-21.

Shifting to the men's doubles number which added two representatives to the last 16 of Thailand Masters 2024. Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin and Rahmat Hidayat/Yeremia Rambitan followed Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri to the second round.
Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin defeated the resistance of Ming Che Lu/Tang Kai Wei (China Taipei) in two straight sets with a score of 21-12 and 21-16.
Then Rahmat Hidayat/Yeremia Rambitan did not encounter any significant obstacles when crushing Tanadon Punpanich/Wachirawit Sothon (Thailand) two games with a score of 21-15 and 21-19.
Unfortunately, the slick steps of the three Indonesian men's doubles representatives failed to be followed by Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohamad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani. They were defeated by Lee Jhe-Huei/Yang Po-Hauan (China Taipei) with a score of 11-21, 21-13, and 18-21.
The women's doubles sector also added representatives to the last 16 of Thailand Masters 2024. Jesita Putri Miantoro/Febi Setianingrum successfully defeated Anastasia Khomich/Daria Zimnol (Poland) with a score of 21-12 and 22-20.

Finally, Indonesia's mixed doubles number has confirmed two tickets to the second round. Dejan Ferdiansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja defeated Hee Yong Kai Terry/Tan Wei Han Jessica (Singapore) in a rubber game, 21-13, 16-21, and 21-16 battle.
Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati followed Dejan/Gloria to the last 16 after defeating Jesper Toft/Clara Graven (Denmark) two straight sets, 21-11 and 21-8.
However, two other mixed doubles had to go home early. Jafar Hidayatullah/Aisyah Salsabila Putri Pranata died in the first round against Yang Po-Hsuan/Hu Ling Fang (China Taipei) with a score of 20-22, 21-17, and 18-21.
Then, the couple Adnan Maulana/Nita Violina Marwah followed after losing to Hiroki Midorikawa/Natsu Saito (Japan) two direct sets, 15-21 and 16-21.
Meanwhile, Indonesia still has one mixed double that is playing. Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari met Mark Lamsfuss/Isabel Lohau (Germany) in the first round.
