Mahfud Withdraws From Coordinating Minister For Political, Legal And Security Affairs, TPN Admits It Will Not Change Campaign Strategy
JAKARTA - The head of the Ganjar-Mahfud National Winning Team (TPN), Arsjad Rasjid, said that his party would not change the campaign strategy even though the candidate for vice president (cawapres) number 3 Mahfud MD resigned from the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam).
"We always focus on what it is, we will run according to the existing dynamics. So, if you say transparency, for example, all follow the rules that are done by us. And obviously we will continue to do it. So, there is no change in terms of any strategy," said Arsjad at the Media Center. Arsjad emphasized that his party was focused on Ganjar-Mahfud's initial strategy, namely the people's economic problems. This can be achieved by law enforcement with integrity.
"We are focused on our strategy. Earlier I said we would return to the grassroots and we are very clear that our focus is on the people's economy, and the people's economy can be successful when there is law enforcement. So, the combination of Mas Ganjar and Prof. Mahfud is the key to success for Indonesia in the future," he said.
"And we believe these two figures will become leaders of the people who defend the people," he continued.

Mahfud MD announced his resignation from the position of Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs on Wednesday, January 31.
The resignation was related to the 2024 presidential election contestation because of Mahfud MD. is the candidate for vice president number 3 to accompany presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo.
In his statement, Mahfud said that his party would submit a direct resignation letter as soon as the schedule was met with President Jokowi.
It is estimated by Mahfud that the resignation letter will be submitted on Thursday, February 1.
"This letter will be delivered as soon as I get a schedule to meet with President Jokowi, but I will continue to bring it because this letter was once I was given the direct time I conveyed it," he concluded.
