Keasang Sesumbar Sudah Lama Tahu Tentang Survei PSI Lolos Parliamentary Threshold

JAKARTA - PSI General Chairperson (Ketum) Kaesang Pangarep admitted that he had known for a long time about the survey results showing his party's vote of more than 4 percent or passing the parliamentary threshold beyond the parliamentary threshold as a condition for qualifying for the DPR.

"I know for a long time. I already know," said Kaesang after PSI's Grand Campaign at Lasitarda Lasiana Field, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, Wednesday, January 31, was confiscated by Antara.

Based on the latest survey of Analytica Research Data, PSI received a vote of up to 4.3 percent. The percentage has exceeded the 4 percent parliamentary threshold requirement which allows the party claiming to be a youth party to enter the DPR after failing in the 2019 election.

Executive Director of Data Research Analytica Nana Kardina said PSI's opportunity to qualify for the DPR was contributed by party associations with President Joko Widodo, especially since the entry of Kaesang and support for Prabowo-Gibran.

According to him, Jokowi's split with the PDI-P provides an opportunity for PSI to develop into Jokowi's political vehicle.

"The entry of PSI to Senayan (DPR) can be a channel of Jokowi's interests in the legislative arena, while Prabowo-Gibran controls the executive," said Nana.

PSI's electability began to slowly climb since Kaesang became chairman. In fact, Kaesang said PSI had occupied the third highest electability position in NTT based on the latest survey results.

Kaesang is undergoing a series of PSI Akbar Campaigns from Tuesday, January 30 to Thursday, February 1 in Pontianak, Kupang, Manado, and Malang.

The 2024 election was attended by 18 national political parties, namely PKB, Gerindra Party, PDI-P (PDIP), Golkar Party, NasDem Party, Labor Party, and the Indonesian Gelora Party, PKS, Nusantara Awakening Party (PKN), Hanura Party, Garuda Party, PAN, Crescent Star Party (PBB), Democratic Party, PSI, Perindo Party, PPP, and Ummat Party.

In addition, the 2024 election was also attended by six local political parties, namely the Aceh Nanggroe Party, the Atjeh Beusaboh Tha'at and Taqwa Generation Party, the Aceh Darul Party, the Aceh Aceh Party, the Aceh Prosperous Justice Party, and the Acehnese People's Independent Solidity Party.

The 2024 election is held simultaneously to elect candidates for legislative members as well as presidential candidates (candidates) and vice presidential candidates (cawapres) on February 14, 2024.
