TKN Prabowo-Gibran Launches Hundreds Of Electric Rickshaws In Madiun

MADIUN - The Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) launched an electric rickshaw mode for hundreds of pedicab drivers in the former Madiun Residency and surrounding areas whose implementation was centered in Gulun Field, Kejuron Village, Madiun City, East Java.

President of the Indonesian Electricity Rickshaw, Naniek S. Deyang, said that in the early stages there were at least 800 electric rickshaws produced.

"Of that number, around 300 electric rickshaws were distributed to pedicab drivers in Madiun, Magetan, Ponorogo, Ngawi, Tulungagung, Blitar, Pacitan areas," said Naniek as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 29.

In the near future, he continued, the electric rickshaws will soon be distributed in Solo 50 rickshaws and Cirebon 100 rickshaws. The rest, will follow in other areas, such as Magelang, Pekalongan, as well as a number of other cities.

He hopes that the electric rickshaw can be used properly to find fortune without having to pedal.

"This electric rickshaw is a program that was actually initiated by Pak Prabowo for a long time before he was president. This electric rickshaw is given to pedicab drivers aged 65 years and over, because they are very old, the power is up tongontel (feeding), that's why this is made for electric rickshaws," he said.

On the one hand, with the use of electric rickshaws, the cost incurred by pedicab drivers is only Rp. 3,000.

"It is hoped that in the future they can compete with other online transportation (online). If the price is around Rp. 15 million to Rp. 20 million," he hoped.

Secretary of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Nusron Wahid who attended the event assessed that the use of electric rickshaws was quite efficient, because they did not use fuel oil (BBM). Including environmentally friendly and part of people's welfare efforts

"This proves that Pak Prabowo is committed to the environment and green energy, as well as a step to answer issues of poverty alleviation," he said.
