Viral Vendor Cuts KPPS Consumption Money 80%, KPU: We Will Investigate, No Tolerance!
JAKARTA - The problem of the consumption budget for members of the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) in Sleman, Yogyakarta was cut by 80% by vendors.
In response, the General Elections Commission (KPU) stated that it would thoroughly investigate and would not tolerate vendors.
"Yes (is being investigated), we will definitely trace it and we will not be able to tolerate it," said KPU Commissioner, August Mellaz after the Election Festival, at Smesco Indonesia, South Jakarta, Sunday, January 28.
Agust said, according to the explanation obtained by the KPU in the meantime, there were activities to procure goods and services through e-catalog, then the budget situation was distributed to work units at the Regency/City level.

Using e-catalog, the vendor carried out another subcontract that made the consumption budget cut occur.
The KPU deeply regretted the inappropriate incident and confirmed that it would immediately investigate further into the matter.
Then, he also stated that a similar incident also occurred in the Banten area. "If in the area that appears it is in Sleman and in Banten. That is indeed the right of people (members of KPPS), it cannot be rigged at all, we will not tolerate it," he said.
Previously, the viral complaints regarding consumption or snacks received by KPPS members were deemed inappropriate. This complaint was expressed through social media via the @/yourfuture***** account.
"A class of regency KPUs provides consumption for the inauguration of simultaneous KPPSs throughout the district like this? There is no transport money and lunch. Snacks are not much different from the @KPUSleman @Humas_KPUDIY @KPU_ID @ IniSleman," he wrote, Thursday, January 25.
In fact, according to the Chairman of the Sleman KPU, Ahmad Baehaqi stated that the consumption budget per member was IDR 15,000, but what happened in Sleman, each member only received IDR 2,500 from the vendor, so this was deemed inappropriate.
