The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Kudus Regency, Central Java, recorded 10 houses damaged. In detail, one house was hit by a fallen tree and nine others due to strong winds."Of the 10 damaged houses, one house was damaged due to falling trees and nine other houses due to strong winds today at around 09.25 WIB," said Head of the Munaji Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in Kudus, Antara, Sunday, January 28.He revealed that the 10 damaged houses were scattered in Karangkalih Village, which were spread across RT 1, 3 and 4 (RW 4), Bae District. Based on information, the affected residents, the disaster occurred at around 08.30 WIB until 10:00 WIB.The incident, he said, started with rain, then accompanied by strong winds. In addition to causing the roof of the residents' houses to be damaged due to the wind, especially the roof tiles, some were damaged by falling trees, causing the roof of the building to be damaged and closing the roads and entrances to the house."The evacuation of fallen trees has been carried out. Meanwhile, the repair of damaged houses is not entirely because there are residents' houses that have not been repaired," he said.For this reason, he appealed to residents to remain alert to the possibility of natural disasters. If a tornado occurs, it is advisable to stay away from the corners of the room, doors, windows, and also the outer walls of the building, because high winds can damage parts of the house, so that the material can endanger the safety of the soul.
He hopes that residents who have trees that are too high to cut so that when strong winds occur, they can minimize the impact on the surrounding settlements.
