BNI Records Digital Transactions Growing 52 Percent In 2023
JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) recorded a digital transaction volume of IDR 1,216 trillion or a 52 percent growth on an annual basis or year on year (yoy), with more than 16 million users in 2023.
Deputy President Director of BNI Adi Sulistyowati revealed that related to this digital achievement, the company made various innovations at every customer touch points and BNI was optimistic that it could become the main banking partner in the retail segment by providing a super apps ecosystem.
Adi Sulistyowati said that in the future the company can optimize Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide hyper personalization of services so as to increase engagement and customer transaction experience.
"This achievement is in line with BNI's strategy to make BNI Mobile Banking a reliable One Stop Financial Solutions capable of answering various customer financial services needs, starting from QRIS transactions, buying credits, e-wallet top ups, paying monthly bills, transferring abroad and abroad, investing, and even beyond banking experience," explained Adi Sulistyowati who is familiarly called Susi in a presentation on BNI's performance, quoted on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
Susi conveyed that the good performance of BNI Mobile Banking shows significant progress in BNI's efforts to shift customer transactions towards digital, thus contributing greatly to financial inclusion.
Furthermore, BNIDirect is also able to be one of the boosters of cash management performance, which in 2023 has reached a transaction value of IDR 6,926 trillion. The company proactively provides new features to continue to improve customer convenience in transactions.
"In addition, we also have the BNI Open API Ecosystem. This solution has become the best in its class and has been able to involve more than 4,000 partners with total services reaching 280 APIs," he explained.

Susi conveyed that the achievement of the Digital Channel will continue this year by optimizing BNI Mobile Banking and BNID Direct as BNI's Champions Transactional Channel.
"We hope to provide service personalization and improve customer transaction experience which can make BNI the main Digital Channel of choice for customers," he said.
