After Being Investigated For 12 Hours, Aiman Worried About The Confiscation Of Cellphones By Investigators
JAKARTA - After being questioned for 12 hours by investigators from the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya, the National Winning Spokesperson (TPN) of Ganjar-Mahfud MD, Aiman Witjaksono, was worried about the confiscation of his cellphone by investigators.
According to him, the confiscation could reveal the identity of the resource person or informant who stated that there were non-neutral persons in the 2024 General Election.
"We were examined for 12 hours, there was a break several times and I have to say even though my cellphone finally had to be confiscated, but I am committed not to mention who my sources are, because I believe they are good people whose identities must be protected," he said, quoting Antara, January 27.
Aiman explained that he had argued for two hours by investigators regarding the confiscation of his cellphone.
"Because all of my data is there (cell phones), even though it has been a debate for almost 2 hours, take a tug so that the cellphone is not confiscated. But investigators can make forced efforts from the court that we cannot, against it," he said.
Aiman, who was questioned by 59 questions, has also taken risks while keeping the resource person a secret.
"I am Aiman Witjaksono and I am sure that friends at TPN that we will not reveal the sources, let me take this risk because I believe they are good people and they are people whose identities must be protected," he said.
Previously, the news of the confiscation of Aiman's cellphone also made the Chairman of the Perindo Party, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, visit the Polda Metro Jaya to check on his subordinates who were being examined as witnesses, namely Aiman Witjaksono, related to fake news or hoaxes.
Hary Tanoe also admitted that he was confused because Aiman was examined for his capacity as a witness, but the cell phone (cellphone) was actually confiscated by investigators from the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) Polda Metro Jaya.
"My subordinate Aiman, he was called as a witness but his cellphone was about to be confiscated. I'm confused. I'm a lot of friends," he said.
He questioned the confiscation of the cellphone (HP). "As a witness, HP was confiscated, as far as I know, if the suspect was new, he could have confiscation, that's why I came here to ask questions," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Police Ade Safri Simanjuntak, emphasized that the confiscation of Aiman Witjaksono's cell phone was for the sake of evidence in the investigation.
"The confiscation is a series of actions by investigators to take over and or store under their control, objects moving or not moving, tangible or intangible, for the sake of evidence in investigations, prosecutions and courts," he said when confirmed in Jakarta, Friday.
Ade Safri also explained that for the time being Aiman's status was still a witness in the alleged case of spreading false news or hoaxes.
