Zainal Fatah assessed that this issue is common in today's political year.
According to him, the most important thing right now is that the Ministry of PUPR continues to work on various mandated projects.
"(The issue) is normal in the political year, the important thing is that PUPR works. We are given the task of carrying it out as expected by all of our friends," he said.
The issue of persuasion for Basuki to resign as Minister of PUPR came from the senior economist of the Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (Indef) Faisal Basri. Faisal asked a number of Presidential ministers Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to resign from the cabinet.
According to Faisal, Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani and Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono as several ministers were persuaded.
Faisal Basri conveyed the pushback to the ministers based on the assessment of President Jokowi's government in favor of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Faisal claimed that Finance Minister Sri Mulyani was the most prepared to withdraw from the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.
