Polda Sultra Sets 1 Suspect In The Case Of Smuggling 1,000 LPG Gas Cylinders To Central Sulawesi
The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the Southeast Sulawesi Police (Sultra) succeeded in thwarting the smuggling of 1,000 three kilograms of LPG gas cylinders to Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi Province (Sulteng).Head of Sub-Directorate I Indagsi Dit Reskrimsus Polda Sultra Kompol Rico Fernanda said, as a result of the disclosure, his party named one suspect with the initials H (37)."One perpetrator with the initials H, who is a resident of North Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi," Rico said when met in Kendari, Antara, Thursday, January 25.The disclosure of the smuggling of LPG gas cylinders began with public information which was then followed up and succeeded in arresting the perpetrators on Jalan Poros Meluhu-Lasolo, Meluhu District, Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, on Wednesday at around 15.39 WITA."He is suspected of having committed a criminal act of abusing the transportation and/or trading of three kilograms of LPG gas fuel," he said.Based on the perpetrator's statement, continued Rico Fernanda, the 1,000 three kilogram LPG gas cylinders are planned to be brought and sold to Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi Province."So, he will bring the gas cylinder from Southeast Sulawesi to Central Sulawesi, but we managed to intercept it in the middle of the road," he said.Rico Fernanda revealed that the results of the disclosure of the smuggling of LPG gas cylinders, his party managed to confiscate evidence in the form of 1,000 gas cylinders and a Hino type truck with police number DN 8947 NF."Now we have detained the perpetrator and evidence at the Southeast Sulawesi Police Headquarters," he explained.
