Realistic, Anies-Muhaimin's Voice Target In Central Java Is Only 30 Percent
JAKARTA - The chairman of the NasDem Party DPP, Sugeng Suparwoto, admitted that the Anies-Muhaimin (AMIN) National Team has set a fairly low target for the 2024 presidential election in Central Java, which is 30 percent for the presidential and vice-presidential candidates number 1."We are just with realistic targets. Our target in Central Java is 30 percent," Sugeng told reporters, Thursday, January 25.The low target for Anies-Muhaimin's vote acquisition is not without reason. Sugeng explained that Central Java was the home of the PDI-P in the 2019 election.Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), PDIP won 5.77 million votes in Central Java in the 2019 Election. This figure contributed 29.71 percent of the total 19.42 million votes in the province. Moreover, the presidential candidate competing with AMIN, namely Ganjar Pranowo, previously served for two terms as Governor of Central Java. Sugeng realized that his presidential and vice presidential candidates were impossible to gain votes in Central Java with high numbers."We know that the basis is PDIP and here is also Pak Ganjar's base first. But there is Pak Prabowo-Gibran's entry and so on, with the same political dynamics we follow," said Sugeng.
"Our target is not grandiose and realistic. The target is 30 percent, the level of achievement depends on our efforts. But if we look at the gap, we see that this can be achieved," he continued.AMIN's vote acquisition target in Central Java is inversely proportional to West Java. The Anies-Muhaimin Regional Campaign Team (TKD) West Java has set a target for the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 1 to get 80 percent of the votes in their province in the 2024 presidential election.
