Throwing Pig Heads On Stage, Martyrdom Apologizes To Vegans And Muslims

JAKARTA - Black metal band Martyrdom apologized after they threw the pig's head at one of his recent concerts.

Footage of their concert video on Friday last week, January 19 at The White Swan in Houston, Texas, circulated on social media and showed the severed pig's head thrown behind the crowd in which one of the concert participants said 'jorok'.

After receiving backlash from people who were uncomfortable with the incident and from the vegan community, the band issued an apology for the deception and action.

"Hi everyone. We just want to start by saying we are very sorry to anyone who was offended by our actions and tricks on stage. We are a black metal band, and as part of that, we try to add a little image and surprise value to our set," the apology reads, quoted from Lamboat, Thursday.

"Unfortunately our actions carried away by the current and out of control, offending many people and even harming some. We would like to apologize to the vegans, Muslims, or other minority groups we might blame, and to anyone who was harmed by our actions."

"The most important thing is that we want to apologize to White Swan, and Harry, the sound guy, in particular. Thank you very much White Swan for giving us the opportunity to play there.
