Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights West Nusa Tenggara Parlindungan said the South Korean foreign national with the initials GMB (59) used a fake permanent residence permit (KITAP) card to run his property business in Indonesia."So it was revealed, this GMB has used fake KITAPs since 2021. He is in Indonesia to carry out business investments in the property sectors in Bogor, Bali and Lombok," Parlindungan said at a press conference at the NTB Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office, Mataram, as quoted from Antara, Wednesday, January 24.The business in the property sector began to run GMB since 2017. The first time, GMB ran its business in the Bogor area."Just to develop and open branches in Bali, then in 2021, he chose to stay in Mataram. While here, he lived with his assistants," he said.Despite getting such recognition, he emphasized that Immigration PPNS is still continuing to deepen GMB activities that seem to have been in Indonesia for a long time."So, before, the KITAP was not a problem, only since his passport died in 2018, he didn't renew it anymore, instead for fake KITAP," he said. Therefore, immigration PPNS is still continuing to explore GMB information while in Indonesia. The development of this case is to see other activities, apart from running the property business. Likewise by exploring the origin of GMB getting fake KITAP."Is it a mine or a TIP? We are investigating this, including where he got this fake KITAP, we are still investigating it," he said.Immigration PPNS has named GMB as a suspect who used fake KITAP by applying Article 121 letter (b) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.
The evidence that strengthens the determination of GMB as a suspect is fake KITAP, two mobile phones, and the results of verification by the Directorate of Immigration Stay Permits at the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.
