Jokowi Raises Investment Realization Target 2023, Bahlil: Alhamdulillah Achieved IDR 1,418.9 Trillion
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Investment/BKPM noted that investment realization throughout 2023 reached IDR 1,418.9 trillion or 101.3 percent of the target set by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) of IDR 1,400 trillion.
Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia said the realization of this investment reached 129 percent of the RPJM target of Rp1,099 trillion.
"And in 2023 our target, Mr. President, will increase it to Rp1,400 trillion and at RPJM Rp1,099 trillion and thank God it was achieved Rp1,418.90 trillion," he said at a press conference, at the Ministry of Investment Office, Wednesday, January 24.
With the realization of this investment, the Ministry of Investment noted that 1,823,542 workers had been absorbed throughout 2023.
Referring to data from the Ministry of Investment, if the realization of foreign investment (PMA) is increased by IDR 744.0 trillion in 2023. This resiliation grew by 13.7 percent on an annual basis or YoY.

Meanwhile, for the realization of domestic investment, it was recorded at Rp674.9 trillion. This number grew 22.1 percent on an annual basis.
Bahlil also said that investment realization in the fourth quarter of 2023 was IDR 365.8 trillion. This number is up 16.2 percent. Employment absorption this quarter was recorded at 457,895 people.
"The comparison between PMA and PMDN, PMA is 50.4 percent and PMDN is 49.6 percent. In terms of growth, YoY is 5.3 percent, for PMDN it is 29.9 percent," he said.
