Airlangga Targets 19 Million People To Participate In The Pre-Employment Card Program By The End Of 2024
JAKARTA - The government targets as many as 19 million people to participate in the 2024 Pre-Employment Card training program.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto invited all stakeholders to continue to build and support the Pre-Employment Card Program by maintaining compliance and implementing good governance.
In addition, he is also proud because the Pre-Employment Card Program has an efficient system and runs 24/7, so this is a different public service.
"Actually, the government's target until the end of 2024 is estimated to reach around 19 million people who can take part in training from the Pre-Employment Card," Airlangga explained in his official statement, quoted Wednesday, January 24.
Airlangga conveyed that the Pre-Employment Card Program was born and present to answer challenges in the preparation and massive and inclusive improvement of Indonesia's workforce.
This requires the support of all stakeholders so that this program can run according to the Government's target with well-maintained and accountable governance.
"I appreciate the Implementing Team and Implementing Management for organizing this activity as an effort to continue to maintain and improve the governance of the Pre-Employment Card Program," he said.
According to Airlangga, the Pre-Employment Card Program ecosystem is actually very large, as reflected in the training institutions that are present from all islands in Indonesia, such as Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and others.
The number of Indonesian workers currently reaching around 147 million people must be able to prepare themselves for the rapid changes that occur in the world of work.
Airlangga conveyed that with the increasing demand for skills and rapid advances in the world of technology, the workforce must be able to adapt, be highly resilient, and continue to grow.
Airlangga explained that this program can encourage an increase in the skills of millions of people per year and for homework in the future, namely that there will be even higher training so that it must open access to foreign countries as well.
"So, all people can have access to learning and training abroad as well, not only dominated from high-class families who can," said Airlangga.
The Pre-Employment Program is able to quickly adjust changes due to fairly intensive communication between policy and implementation. This Pre-Employment Innovation has been successful, thus getting praise from ADB, the World Bank, and UN agencies.

"The workforce has proven to be able to adapt, inclusive, and can provide efficient results. However, the appreciation from various international institutions should not make us complacent, but it must encourage us to carry out additional innovations," explained Airlangga.
In the Pre-Employment Program, there are various kinds of digital training, ranging from programming languages, data analysis, to ethical hacking. There are also training on the operation of heavy equipment such as trucks, buses, excavators and bulldozers that are useful for responding to the mining, plantation, construction, as well as logistics and transportation sectors.
In addition to training such as office administration, sales and marketing, lifestyle, graphic design, and soft skills, the Pre-Employment Program also has green skills training such as sustainability reporting, carbon accounting, motorcycle modification into electric motorcycles, environmentally friendly fertilizers, and others.
"Until now, all educational institutions in collaboration with Prakerja have also paid off, so this Pre-Employment will be a program that is an example of successful e-government in the future," said Airlangga.
