Crazy Rich Surabaya Budi Said Becomes A Suspect, This Is Antam's Next Step
JAKARTA - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) or Antam will still take legal steps related to Antam's gold buying and selling case involving crazy rich from Surabaya, Budi Said. Although, the Attorney General's Office has named Budi as a suspect in the case.
Antam President Director Nicolas Kanter said his party would seek legal steps that were still allowed.
As is known, the Supreme Court (MA) rejected the reconsideration (PK) submitted by PT Antam Tbk (ANTM) against Budi Said. With this decision, the cassation decision previously submitted by Budi Said was legally binding.
"This is what we see, hopefully, after all, the Supreme Court's decision is inkrah, yes, he won the PK, yes, we are trying what else can be allowed," he said at the Indonesian Ombudsman office, Jakarta, Tuesday, January 23.
Furthermore, Nico, Nicolas' nickname, said that after being studied, it turned out that there were legal steps that could be taken, namely PK-2.

"We see that PK-2 is actually allowed, if there are decisions that have permanent legal force, there will be differences or conflicts. That's what we put forward," he explained.
Nico said that if Budi Said was proven to be properly involved in acts of corruption and detrimental to the state, it would strengthen the company's steps in submitting PK-2.
"Of course, if he is properly involved in corruption or harming the state, it will be one of the steps or legal facts that are strong enough to assist us in the PK-2 process and other legal remedies," said Nico.
