MX King Twins Receive Updates In Malaysia, Prices Nearly IDR 40 Million

JAKARTA - Yamaha is again expanding its lineup of duck motors in Malaysia by launching the 2024 ABS Y16ZR with aggressive and sporty designs. This bike offers some changes from the previous version.

Reporting from Paultan, Tuesday, January 23, Yamaha Motor Hong Leong, as a distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in neighboring countries, presents the model with several changes, including a redesigned front covering and panel equipped with DRL LED.

In addition to the LCD instrument panel, several rubber insertions have been added to improve suitability and aesthetics.

Just as the name suggests, Y16ZR is now present with the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) system on the front wheels, which works on a single hydraulic disk and a two-piston caliber brake. Just like the front, the rear braking also carries a hydraulic and single-piston caliber.

Meanwhile, the gear and suspension parts have no changes at all. The manufacturer with the garputala' logo carries telescopic forks and preload monoshocks that can be adjusted up front and rear.

The motorbike, which is the twin of MX King in Indonesia, uses a 90/80-17 tire size at the front and 120/70-17 behind it by creating a weight of 119 kg with a fuel tank measuring 5.4 liters.

Yamaha maintains the same engine as before on this bike with a single cylindrical cooled liquid 155 cc SOHC VVA, coupled to a six-acceleration gyrboks system plus assists and slipper clusters. Thus, Y16ZR ABS generates 17.7 dk of power and 14.4 Nm of torque.

Presented with three color options, namely Violet Knight, Ocean Neon, and Mag Greg, the duck motor is priced at 11,398 ringgit or equivalent to IDR 37.7 million.
