Cooperation With ISAT, Telkom Boss: Will Have A Good Impact On Internet Service Quality

JAKARTA - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) and PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) announced a strategic partnership to strengthen digital infrastructure through the Internet Exchange (IX) ecosystem.

This collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the companies under the two issuers. TLKM through Telkom Data Ecosystem (NeutraDC) and joint ventures from BDx Data Centers (BDx), Indosat, and Lintasarta, namely BDx Indonesia.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the CEOs of NeutraDC, Andreuw Th A F, and the CEO of BDx, Mayank Srivastava, witnessed by the President Director of Telkom, Ririek Adriansyah, and President Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison,manfaat Sinha.

The CEO of NeutraDC, Andreuw Th A F said that his party was very happy to be able to establish a strong collaboration with BDx Indonesia. This collaboration aims to improve Indonesia's digital infrastructure.

Andreuw added, as the leading provider in the largest neutral ecosystem that includes AI, CDN, connectivity, and cloud services, the NetradC is ready for the catalymization of internet access throughout Indonesia with a large population.

CEO of BDx, Mayank Srivastava said, the expansion of this portfolio allows BDx Indonesia to become the largest provider of carrier data centers in Indonesia.

"This collaboration is a big step towards the creation of Mesh's most connected Digital Infrastructure for Indonesia, a vision supported by BDx Indonesia and Neutra DC," he said.

Through strategic partnerships, both parties agreed to empower their respective data center businesses. Currently, the wave of digital transformation is running massively and the increasing demand for data centers in Southeast Asia, including in Indonesia, has created strategic collaboration opportunities.

The rapid expansion in the e-commerce sector and the adoption of technology in business processes also provide a major boost to the need for reliable data center infrastructure.

This collaboration will increase the capability and capacity of collocation. With the connected IX ecosystem, users can certainly experience the flexibility of using various services through the one-door security architecture.

As part of this collaboration, all parties have identified key focal points for the IX ecosystem, focusing on carrier-neutral locations that meet tier 3 standards and are scattered in major cities in Indonesia.

Indonesia's NetradC and BDx will manage several independent IXs, jointly providing technical assistance and support to create strong IX ecosystem interconnections, increase internet infrastructure resilience and create a more efficient national internet framework.

Currently, the NeutraDC has hyperscale data centers in Cikarang and Batam. Not only on a hyperscale scale, but the NetraDC also has an enterprise data center spread across several points throughout Indonesia.

Meanwhile, BDx Indonesia, has facilities throughout the large island, operates a portfolio of enter and hyperscale data centers in Jakarta and West Java, developing a special hyperscale campus in Suryacipta, East Jakarta, together with the development of a greenfield that supports the workload of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
