Metro Police Response Regarding Firli Bahuri Files Again Pretrial Lawsuit: The First Has Been Rejected
Polda Metro Jaya believes that the determination of Firli Bahuri as a suspect in the alleged extortion or gratification case against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, has been legal in the eyes of the law.
The question was conveyed by the Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak in response to Firli Bahuri's move to file a pretrial lawsuit again.
"The investigation carried out by investigators in handling the a quo case and determining the status of the suspect against FB carried out by investigators is legal," said Ade to VOI, Tuesday, January 23.
This belief was based on the judge's decision on the pretrial lawsuit filed by Firli Bahuri for the first time.
At the trial of the verdict, the sole judge decided that Firli Bahuri's camp's lawsuit was unacceptable. The reason is considered to mix formal and material elements.
"The sole judge who examined the pretrial lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court when the first lawsuit was in question has rejected the prejudicial lawsuit of the FN suspect or his attorney," he said.
Apart from that, Ade emphasized that the investigation team through the Legal Division (Bidkum) of the Polda Metro Jaya is ready to face a pretrial lawsuit from Firli Bahuri's camp.
"Regarding the second pretrial lawsuit filed by the suspect FB or his attorney to the South Jakarta District Court, in principle investigators through the Advocacy Team of the Metro Jaya Police Bidkum are very ready to deal with it," said Ade.
Meanwhile, Firli Bahuri, filed a pretrial lawsuit for the second time at the South Jakarta District Court.
Based on the Case Tracking Information System or SIPP of the South Jakarta District Court, the lawsuit with number 17/Pid.Pra/2024/PN JKT.SEL was registered on Monday, January 22.
