No 'Cebong-Kampret', Ganjar Praises The Quality Of Democracy For The 2024 Presidential Election

JATENG - Candidate for president (candidate) number 3 Ganjar Pranowo praised the quality of democracy at the 2024 presidential election. He hopes that the polarization of "cebong-kampret" or two divided camps will not be repeated.

"The election is usually people who have their own preferences. Don't let there be divisions. Remember, at that time, the previous two elections had quite massive divisions. There was a tadpole group, there was a camp group, don't repeat it," he said during a political safari at the Roudlotussolihin Islamic Boarding School, Bumi Restu Palas, South Lampung, Monday, January 22, confiscated by Antara.

To the media crew after attending a prayer event together, Ganjar assessed that at the previous two electoral events, there was a massive division of the two camps by bringing along issues of ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup (SARA).

Currently, said Ganjar, this is not very visible. "The issue of SARA at that time was very strong. Thank God, this election is not a strong issue of SARA and no one is selling certain groups. Good, democracy is better," he said.

Ganjar hopes that in this election all levels of society can display their mutual respect by prioritizing politeness.

"But we need to remind the public that we need to take care of each other, not bring issues that can offend us, or we have characters who respect others with politeness, not (spreading) hoaxes," he said.
