JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) of the Republic of Indonesia provides flats (rusun) with complete facilities with unit fees of only Rp. 10,000 per month in Jakarta and Bekasi.The Ministry of Social flats are located at the Mulya Jaya Bambu Apus Center, Cipayung District, East Jakarta as well as at the Pangudi Luhur Integrated Center in Bekasi, West Java. Each unit has a size of about 7 X 6 meters which is designed for small families. "It is true that the rental fee is Rp. 10 thousand per month, which will actually return to them. It is a kind of social fund," said Head of Sentra Mulya Jaya Adrianus Alla quoting Antara. Adrianus explained that the flats in Sentra Mulya Jaya have 71 units, while the Pangudi Luhur Integrated Center has 95 units, both of which are built on the collaboration between the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) which was inaugurated in 2023.
This flat is built specifically for the poor and vulnerable people / groups. Each apartment unit, he said, is provided with facilities in the form of level beds, dining tables, kitchens along with gas stoves and equipment, as well as bathrooms with sitting toilets. Not only rooms, said Adrianus, in the Ministry of Social flats there are also various public facilities such as prayer rooms, parking lots, children's reading corner, multipurpose room, lockers, CCTV security system, waste disposal access, safety nets, access for people with disabilities, toilets with disabilities and public toilets, waiting rooms on each floor, as well as evacuation routes.
