TKN: If You Want An Advanced Indonesia, Democracy Should Not Sell Religious Verses

JAKARTA - Deputy Golf Commander of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Eli Sinaga appealed to candidate pairs (paslon) number 2 not to respond to attacks and slanders that have recently been addressed to Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

This was conveyed by Eli when receiving support from Baraya Gemoy volunteers at Prabowo Subianto's residence, in Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 18.

Eli revealed that recently candidate pair number 2, was hit by many attacks and slander. However, he said, the attacks and slander should not be met with the same thing, but it is enough to just smile.

"It's just fun, because we don't want to build our democracy in the midst of violence. We don't want to build our democracy in the midst of slander that makes Indonesia even more resigned," said Eli in Kertanegara, Thursday, January 18.

Eli reminded, if you want Indonesia to run, the 2024 General Election should not be colored by the act of selling religious verses. Because, he stressed, this action could cause divisions as happened in the previous election.

"If anyone wants Indonesia to progress, they should build this democracy with honesty, not violence, not selling religious verses," said Eli.

"Because these things are what makes us even more divided," he continued.

Eli is not sure that people who commit slander and sell religion love Indonesia seriously. Except, he said, they are the agents of foreigners who do not want Indonesia to be more advanced.

"We love Indonesia. We believe that Prabowo-Gibran can bring Indonesia forward to become a respected country and contribute to the progress of the world," he exclaimed.

Eli also asked volunteers to knock on people's houses to win Prabowo-Gibran too. Because Prabowo-Gibran's victory, according to him, is the key to making Indonesia more advanced.

He also invited volunteers not to be afraid if they were accused or slandered of violence and intimidation in the 2024 election.

"So, never get tired, never be afraid, because we are accused of intimidation, we are accused of violence, frightening that we actually never retaliate against slander with violence, with intimidation," he concluded.

Meanwhile, the head of the Baraya Gemoy volunteer, Jamaluddin, hopes that Prabowo-Gibran will bring prosperity to the people of Indonesia, Jiak, elected as president and vice president.

"My hope is that when Mr. Prabowo becomes president, hopefully the people in Indonesia will be given welfare, both from human resources, our workforce will prosper everything," he said.
