Ganjar-Mahfud Confirmed TPN Will Strengthen Corruption Eradication, This Is Mardiono's Explanation Regarding Changing The Name Of The KPK

JAKARTA - TPN Ganjar-Mahfud emphasized that candidate pair number 03 is pro to strengthen the eradication of corruption. Mahfud MD's track record, including when he was Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, was a plus the pair promoted by PDI, PPP, Hanura and Perindo.

Yes, of course, Mr. Mahfud from the start had this commitment in various places either when he served as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs or also in the past when he served as Chairman of the Constitutional Court, yes," said Acting Chairman of PPP Mardiono at the KPK, Wednesday, January 17.

Asked about the plan to change the name of the KPK, Mardiono said that naming was not very important. The suppression, he said, strengthens the eradication of corruption.

As previously reported, Mahfud said that Law Number 30 of 2002 concerning the KPK had the opportunity to be returned to its original state before being revised to win the 2024 presidential election. This possibility is open to restoring the glory of the KPK.

Initially, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs talked about the declining level of KPK confidence after the revision of the KPK Law. So, he considered that there needed to be improvement, one of which was through the re-implementation of the old law.

In addition, Mahfud also talked about changing the name of the KPK. The word 'Commission' is considered less strengthening the image of a law enforcement agency whose main task is to deal with corruption.
