Egyptian Citizen Who Was Abandoned In Bali Deported
BADUNG - Denpasar immigration officers deported an Egyptian citizen (WNA) with the initials MMMKE (43) because of the overstay in Bali. This Egyptian citizen was abandoned during the overstay.
Denpasar Rudenim Head Gede Dudy Duwita said the foreigner violated Article 78 paragraph 2 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.
"Foreigners who do not pay the expense as referred to in paragraph (1) are subject to immigration administrative action in the form of deportation and deterrence," said Duwita, Wednesday, January 17.
"The provisions in Paragraph 1 are referred to by foreigners who have expired residence permits and are still in Indonesian territory less than 60 days from the time limit for residence permits to be charged in accordance with the provisions of the legislation," he added.
Duwita explained that these foreigners came to Indonesia on November 18, 2023 through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, with the intention of having a vacation in Bali. This Egyptian citizen uses Visa On Arrival (VoA) which is valid until December 17, 2023.
He had lost a bag containing important items including a cellphone. He left the hotel.
Furthermore, on January 8, 2024, based on community reports, these foreigners were abandoned and found resting on the side of the road by the Abiansemal police, Badung.
"Immediately the police will take the person concerned to the Denpasar Immigration Office for further investigation," he explained.
When examined, this Egyptian citizen overstayed for 23 days. Deportation was also carried out.

This foreigner was deported through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on Tuesday (16/1) with the final destination of Cairo International Airport, Egypt.
