KY, KPU, Bawaslu, And Kemenpora Supervised The Election-Pilkada Trial
JAKARTA - The Judicial Commission (KY), the General Election Commission (KPU), the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (FH UI), the Association for Elections and Democracy (Perludem), and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) signed a declaration of supervision of the election and regional elections.
The signing of the declaration was carried out in order to maintain and uphold the honor, dignity, and behavior of judges, in order to realize an honest and fair trial in the trial of the 2024 election and regional elections.
"In the current democratic era of Indonesia, it is very possible that the democratic process such as elections and regional elections still has to be brought to court, either in the form of administrative disputes or in the form of criminal acts. Therefore, the legitimacy of our democracy still has to be tested through a judicial process," said Chairman Kyamzulian Rifai in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 17.
According to Amzulian, supervision of the proceedings is important so that the trial process for the election and regional elections runs
well.

The declaration signed by the parties is a commitment and mission to ensure the maintain integrity of the judiciary.
Through the signing of this declaration, KY together with the KPU, Bawaslu, FH UI, Needdem, and Kemenpora want to ensure that the trial process for election and regional elections reflects three things, namely integrity, justice, and transparency.
"So that our democratic party has won the real trust of the public as voters in this country," said the Chairman of KY.
