Directorate General Of Oil And Gas Proposes Crowded Retailers To Be 3 Kg Elpiji Base

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of Oil and Gas (Migas) has submitted a proposal to PT Pertamina (Persero) so that retailers who are busy buyers can be raised to become authorized distributors of 3 kg LPG.

Director of Downstream Oil and Gas Business Development, Mustika Pratiwi said that there are still many traders who sell 3 kg LPG even though the subsidized LPG registration and purchase policies have been issued only through official bases by registering using their KTP and Family Cards. Later, the data obtained will be recorded on Pertamina's website system.

"Indeed, we have also proposed to Pertamina that retailers who are within the same radius, for example 1 km, why should not be appointed as a base," said Mustika, quoted on Wednesday, January 17.

"Well, if at the shop, he bought it at the base, it was also recorded. But indeed the problem is when the retailer buys it at the base, he can buy 10, meaning that it is only one person (who buys it). This must be initiated again," continued Mustika.

He continued, later Pertamina will identify the retailers who distribute the most LPG and make the LPG distribution stalls. With this method, it is hoped that LPG distribution will be more targeted and only eligible customers can buy 3kg LPG.

"Automatically retailers will die themselves and consumers will buy directly at bases lifted from retailers," concluded Mustika.
