JAKARTA - Senior politician Maruarar Sirait or who is familiarly called Ara officially said goodbye from the PDI-P (PDIP) recently.

Before it was reported that he said goodbye to PDIP, Ara was busy talking about after uploading his togetherness to gather with big businessmen who also supported the development of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).

At that time, Ara was also seen participating in a group of investors led by the boss of Agung Sedayu Group Sugianto Kusuma (Aguan) while reviewing the IKN project.

Related to this, the Deputy for Funding and Investment of OIKN Agung Wicaksono explained about Ara's role in IKN development.

Agung did not deny that Ara was indeed one of the registered investment projects in IKN.

"Currently, I can't say (the role of Maruarar Sirait in IKN development) because if the existing documents from investors are mentioned, his name is the party who signs or cooperates," he said in an online media briefing, quoted Wednesday, January 17.

In addition, Agung confirmed that Ara had indeed come down the mountain to visit IKN together with the boss Agung Sedayu Group, Aguan, who is the leader of the Nusantara Consortium.

At that time, continued Agung, Ara also visited IKN accompanied by the Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Bahlil Lahadalia.

"We can say that Mr. Maruarar was also present with the Minister of Investment Bahlil together with companies that would form a consortium. So, that's what we know. He had indeed been to IKN together with investors at that time," he said.

For your information, Ara officially said goodbye to the PDI-P (PDIP) on Monday, January 15. He also thanked Megawati Soekarnoputri.

Ara declared his resignation after meeting directly with the Deputy General Treasurer of the PDIP DPP, Rudianto Tjen and the Deputy Secretary General of the PDIP, Utut Adianto at the PDIP DPP Office, Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Jakarta.

"After I prayed and discussed with the closest people, my closest friends, I decided to say goodbye to the PDIP today," he said.

Not to forget, Ara expressed her gratitude to the Chairperson of the PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri and Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto. Moreover, Megawati has allowed herself to work with PDIP.

"I thank Mrs. Mega, Mr. Hasto and the party ranks for allowing me to serve through PDIP," he said.
