Father Of Rape Of Biological Child In Ambon Sentenced To 8 Years In Prison And Pay A Fine Of IDR 1 Billion

MALUKU - Ambon District Court (PN) sentenced the defendant Hamid Lamboisi to 8 years in prison. The defendant was found guilty of raping his biological daughter three times.

"Declaring that the defendant is guilty of violating Article 82 paragraph (2) of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Perppu Number 1 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection Juncto Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code," said Chief Justice of the Panel of Judges, Orpa Marthina accompanied by two member judges at the Ambon District Court, Maluku, Tuesday, January 16, confiscated by Antara.

The defendant Hamid was also sentenced to pay a fine of Rp. 1 billion, subsidiary to six months in prison.

The aggravating thing was that the defendant was sentenced to prison because the consequences of his actions had caused shame to the victim and his family.

Meanwhile, the mitigating factor was that the defendant Hamid was polite in the trial and admitted his actions, the defendant had never been convicted.

The verdict of the panel of judges is also lighter than the demands of the Maluku Prosecutor's Office, Badminton Ubleuw, who in the previous trial demanded 10 years in prison.

The prosecutor said that the defendant Hamid's lecherous act against the victim, who is his own child, had occurred at their home since Sunday, July 9, 2023, at around 15:00 WIT.

At that time the victim was temporarily literate with the defendant and suddenly this depraved father was about to hug and seduce him.

As a result of not being resistant to the defendant's lecherous actions, the victim and her mother reported the act to the Pulaau Police Headquarters in Ambon and Pp Lease, and it was finally revealed in the police investigation that this criminal incident had been carried out three times.
