Attorney General: Retired TNI Receives Assistance After Asabri Case Completed
Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin suggested that TNI personnel who have retired or died in their duties can get assistance after the handling of the PT Asabri case is completed.
"After handling the Asabri case, it is completed so that it is contributed to the TNI, especially the retired and TNI colleagues who died in the task of being able to get assistance," said Burhanuddin in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 15.
This was conveyed by Burhanuddin when receiving a visit from the TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto in Jakarta, in order to strengthen institutions, especially in law enforcement.
Burhanuddin opened up to be at the forefront of providing assistance through the Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration regarding the TNI assets cases filed by the public and developers, including the Asabri case.
Regarding the aid discourse, Burhanuddin said his institution was ready to assist in facilitating the TNI and the Ministry of SOEs.
"The Prosecutor's Office will be ready to help facilitate this together with the Ministry of SOEs," he said.
In a meeting with the TNI Commander regarding institutional strengthening, especially in law enforcement by the two institutions, Burhanuddin also conveyed the role of collaboration between prosecutors and the military. The Attorney General's Office has a Junior Attorney General for Military Crimes (Jampidmil) which has been established for two years.
The existence of Jampidmil shows the importance of handling cases with collaboration and synergy between law enforcers, starting from the investigation to the legal stage with the process of handling connectivity.
This is in line with the case that has been successfully handled together, namely the case for the procurement of the Orbit Satellite 123 degrees of the Ministry of Defense and the case of the TWP AD (Indonesian Housing Mandatory Savings) from 2013 to 2020 whose cases are currently being rolled out at the level of legal action.
"The success of disclosing the case cannot be separated from good cooperation or collaboration between the two institutions," he said.
Burhanuddin also conveyed that the Jampidmil ranks were not only at the Attorney General's Office, but also at the high prosecutor's office which was held by the military criminal assistant (Aspidmil) and filled with elements from the TNI.

In fact, at the opening of the National Conference of the Indonesian Prosecutors' Association (Persaja) on January 8, 2024, all ranks of military crimes, both at the central and regional levels, have been given an honorary membership by General Chair Amir Yanto, who is accompanied by the protector of the PersajadS.T. Burhanuddin Organization.
"The membership was crowned because they have become part of Adhyaksa residents," he said.
On the other hand, Burhanuddin also conveyed things related to crimes involving investigators from the TNI, such as maritime crimes, airspace violations, and crimes that use information technology, which are considered increasingly complex and modern.
"In the future, it is certain that joint training education will be carried out in order to strengthen human resources and build a mindset and synergy between law enforcers," he said.
Meanwhile, during his inaugural visit, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from Attorney General Burhanuddin and his staff.
The TNI Commander said that in law enforcement, the TNI cannot be separated from the prosecutor's office, which has absolute authority in prosecuting all criminal acts in cases, including airspace and marine areas, which are almost 70 percent of the total, including in terms of handling connectivity cases.
