Residents Enthusiastically Travel To Zero Point IKN, East Kalimantan Provincial Government Reminds To Keep Clean
The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of East Kalimantan (Kaltim) reminded people who are enthusiastic about visiting the Nusantara Capital Zero Point (IKN) in Sepaku, North Penajam Paser Regency (PPU) to maintain environmental cleanliness.
"The enthusiasm of traveling and visiting is okay, but from scratch you can also take care of it together. For example, don't litter," said the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of East Kalimantan Province Sri Wahyuni at Zero Point IKN, Sunday, January 14, as reported by Antara.
Sri did not deny that the enthusiasm of the community, both local and outside the region for traveling to IKN was very high.
According to Sri, this cannot be separated from the public's desire to see firsthand how the development process and conditions in the area are prepared to replace the capital city of Jakarta.
"The enthusiasm of the community has actually been since 2019. In fact, Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Airport Balikpapan has been quiet since 2019. When APT Pranoto Airport Samarinda operates. But, after the pandemic, Balikpapan airport is again crowded," he said.

According to Sri, of the many areas in IKN, the location of Zero Point has indeed become a Primadona for the community to take pictures, in the midst of the ongoing IKN development process.
"We hope that because the area is always crowded with visitors every day, let's work together to look after and care for it," he said.
The impact of community visits to the zero point of IKN is quite felt by the City of Balikpapan with an increase in the wheels of the economy with the fact that the airport is no longer quiet and hotels are full again.
The East Kalimantan Provincial Government assessed that Balikpapan was quiet only during the COVID-19 pandemic, although East Kalimantan's economic growth continued to move.
"When 2022 the IKN development began, finally the East Kalimantan economic movement, especially Balikpapan, was increasingly moving," he concluded.
